I am from my cozy bed,
From Netflix shows and cheesy pasta,
I am from the cold, tiny, blue, upstairs bedroom,
Full of wide windows, soft blankets, and my homemade vanilla candle,
I am from hydrangeas,
Purple and blue surrounding the house,
I am from family vacations to the beach and ocean blue eyes,
From two siblings and four pets,
I’m from sarcasm and blonde hair,
From believing in santa and the easter bunny,
I’m from pale skin and burning easily in the sun,
I’m from the east coast, New Jersey, and the midwest, Ohio,
Many grilled chicken and steak dinners,
From leaving my sister at a gas station on the highway,
The electric blue eyes from my parents,
Little Compton, Rhode Island,
Everlasting memories.
